Whether and why my parcel was returned by China customs?
Explains China-customs return scenarios and why some parcels may be sent back before international delivery completes.
Quick answer
Explains China-customs return scenarios and why some parcels may be sent back before international delivery completes.
Full guide
Every outbound parcel from China passes through China customs. Most parcels clear normally, but some are spot-checked or returned by customs during export processing.
What a China-customs return scan means
If tracking shows a return at an international exchange station, it usually means the parcel failed or paused during a security/customs check. It does not always mean the shipment is permanently cancelled.
What usually happens next
- The logistics provider may try to pass customs again.
- If the parcel clears later, it continues toward the destination country.
- If it cannot pass, it may return to Acbuy warehouse.
If it returns to warehouse
When a China-export return reaches Acbuy warehouse, the shipping fee is generally refunded to the Acbuy wallet and the items are restored to warehouse inventory so the user can submit a parcel again.
Important limits
Acbuy cannot control customs decisions or always identify the exact reason for a customs return. If a parcel is returned by overseas customs rather than China customs, the logistics provider may not refund international freight.
